Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) – Program Overview
The Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) is a two-year full-time postgraduate program designed to enhance theoretical knowledge, clinical skills, and research acumen in the field of physiotherapy. The curriculum comprises classroom teaching, clinical postings, seminars, journal reviews, case presentations, and research-based learning.
In the first year, students receive advanced training in core physiotherapy concepts, research methodology, and biostatistics. They are also exposed to various clinical areas through rotations and are required to submit a dissertation synopsis.
The second year focuses on specialty-specific clinical training and completion of the dissertation. Students continue to engage in academic discussions and are encouraged to participate in conferences and workshops to stay updated with current practices.
Admission is based on merit in a competitive entrance exam conducted by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, and eligibility includes a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy with at least 50% aggregate marks.
The medium of instruction is English, and students must maintain at least 85% attendance to qualify for university examinations. The total course duration is 3240 hours spread evenly across two academic years.
