    ANNUAL REPORT PHYSIOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT (2019-2020):

  • It gives us and immense pleasure to announce that the number of patients treated in our department have increased from average of 100 in 2019 to 150 patients in 2020.
  • SSAIP proudly announces the starting of our Masters course of physiotherapy in Neurological and Musculoskeletal science.
  • From the commencement of new academic session, all three departments organises every Saturday group activities like chair aerobics, chair yoga, balance exercises, laughter therapy etc for working on overall fitness of patients.
  • This year we have secured 100 percent results of our TYBPT and Final year BPT with our students Natasha Barot of TYBPT and Vicky kasundra and Mohit Agarwal of Final year BPT securing first and fifth rank in entire university among colleges. Our student Disha Prabhukeluskar of SYBPT secured second rank in entire university.
  • Natasha Barot of TYBPT secured gold medal for ranking highest marks in musculoskeletal subject.
  • Dr Hetvi Bhatt, Dr Khushali Choksi, Dr Vandana Patel and Dr Nijal Parmar had presented paper in an International conference MEDINSPIRE at Dr D.Y. Patil University, Mumbai in February 2019.
  • Dr Hetvi Bhatt delivered a guest lecture on Physio awareness in senior citizen club, Vapi in March 2019.
  • Dr Hetvi Bhatt delivered a guest lecture on “the Alpha- harmony behind homeostasis” in International conference VIPCON in February 2020.
  • Dr Jagruti Patel has been appointed as a GSCPT inspector for Navsari and Valsad district.
  • Dr Jagruti Patel delivered a lecture on Women’s Health in MCA Department of college campus.
  • Dr Jagruti Patel and Dr Vandana Patel intern’s research project is accepted for publication entitled “Effect of 4 weeks of balance training program in healthy young adults –a Randomised clinical trial’ in an International Journal named Indian journal of Physiotherapy and occupational therapy, volume 14, no 2, April 2020.
  • Dr Vandana Patel published intern’s research project entitled “Comparison of balance among asymptomatic population with Egyptian and Greek foot- a cross-sectional study” in Russian journal of physical therapy and sports, volume 14, No 2 in May 2019.
  • Dr Vandana Patel published a research project entitled “Dynamic postural control and level of functional abilities with and without ankle foot orthosis in ambulatory children with cerebral palsy- a cross sectional study ” in an International journal of yoga and physical therapy, volume 9 issue 3, December 2019.
  • Dr Vandana Patel was invited as a judge for scientific paper presentation-junior category in National conference VIPCON in April 2019.
  • Dr Nijal Parmar was invited as a judge for poster presentation- junior category in National conference VIPCON in April 2019.
  • Dr Nijal Parmar was invited as a judge for poster and model presentation in physigenix-March 2020 at M.B.Gohil hospital, Navsari
  • Dr Nijal Parmar and Dr Bhumika patel presented a paper in an International conference at AIIMS Delhi in December 2019.
  • Dr Vaishali Gabani published a research project entitled “Efficacy of fitness training on frail individuals-an Interventional study” in an International Journal of scientific research in December 2019, volume 8, and issue 12.
  • Dr Vaishali Gabani had done a scale translation “The Edmonton frail scale” in January 2020.
  • In addition all staffs have done various workshops for betterment of patients and as well as enhancing knowledge in students.
  • Our students have participated in paper and poster presentation in MEDINSPIRE International conference at D.Y Patil University with one of our student Anand Vaghasia securing second in poster presentation.
  • Students of Final year BPT also ranked first in group dance in International conference “3rd World Physiotherapy Congress 2019” in October 2019.
  • Our girls stood first in cricket competition between all departments of campus and were coached by Dr Ruchita Narsia.
  • Our students have participated in poster and paper presentation in VIPCON International conference – February 2020 and one of our student Mohammad Shadab Motorwala secured second in paper presentation
  • Our students Kasundra Vicky, Barot Natasha, and Trivedi Bhakti secured first in quiz competition, Vicky Kasundra secured first in surface king, Shukla hardik secured second in Fitness mania, and Mohammad Shadab Motorwala and Adnan Mansuri secured second in Carrom, boys team secured second in Volleyball and cricket and girls team secured first in cricket competition in VIPCON international conference February 2020.
